Section 1
What we collect
Different parts of the platform collect different things. We separate them deliberately so that public discussion, account details and survey responses are kept distinct.
- Public discussion posts: visible by name or pseudonym to anyone reading ClubHub.
- Account details: name, email and password (hashed) to operate sign-in.
- Survey responses: stored without your name, email or raw IP address.
- Aggregated sentiment analysis: derived from survey responses and publicly visible reactions.
Section 2
How we use it
We use account details to run sign-in, manage forum participation and protect against abuse. We use survey responses in aggregate to identify themes, concerns and disclosure gaps. We do not sell personal data.
Section 3
Analytics and cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies for sign-in and security, and aggregated analytics to understand which pages help. See the cookie policy for details and how to opt out where relevant.
Section 4
Retention
Account data is retained for the life of your account. Survey responses are retained in aggregate; raw rows can be deleted on request unless legal preservation duties apply. Public posts remain visible until removed by you or moderators.
Section 5
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can also withdraw consent for non-essential processing. We will respond within statutory timeframes once data-controller arrangements are confirmed.
Section 6
Controller and contact
Until charity, foundation or trustee structures are confirmed, YSA operates under interim editorial responsibility. The contact page lists the current data and privacy contact route.
